COVID-19 Notice

In early January, the EAED has conducted a survey among all delegates originally registered for the EAED 2020 Fuschl meeting, in order to find out their preferred meeting format and destination for EAED 2021, as the original venue in Fuschl is permanently shut down. Results have shown a clear desire for a face-to-face meeting in a resort style setting. EAED is confident to have found an ideal place to match this desire, which is available on the original meetings dates May 27-29, 2021: “Kempinski Hotel Das Tirol” in Jochberg/Kitzbühel (Austria). The meeting is planned in a hybrid format, that is with a physical presence at present available for the majority of EAED Members and Affiliates and other Members/Affiliates joining virtually via live stream. Official Social Events are not foreseen at this stage. However, the situation will be re-evaluated in spring. A small industry exhibition and presence will be organised. Onsite safety is of utmost importance to EAED. To safeguard an adequate onsite setting, an extensive COVID Security Measurement plan is elaborated and adapted to the actual situation. Measurements may include distance control, rapid COVID-19 testing and wearing masks, in particular when moving. EAED 2021 Registration for Members and Affiliates will open on Monday, February 15th, 2021. Depending on the COVID-19 regulations valid at the time of the congress, the meeting will be likely to allow an attendance of 120 – 180 delegates. Registrations will be handled on a first come – first served basis. Virtual registration for EAED Members and Affiliates are offered cost-free.
